For years I have been collecting the most beautiful hand block printed textiles created by Mala Sinha. The Bodhi label is distinctive, and if you have any doubts, there is the logo of a tiny, flourishing Bodhi tree in the corner of every sari.Over the decades, the printing, finish and colours have just got more and more refined and beautiful. Each and every creation is unique, an understated work of art, a tribute to the work of the master hand block printer.Pradeep andMala Sinhahave also worked miracles in water conservation, treating and re-using water from the printing process in a very practical way. This post is dedicated to the extraordinary work that they do.

It was love at first sight ! I saw other beautiful sarees, but kept coming to this one . The colour , the fabric- linen and the fall were just perfect for the harsh summer . And of course the wonderful block print , just see the animals roaming across my Saree . And the blouse piece that was striped to add to the surprise element . My first #bodhi Saree, and I can’t wait to add more .

I fell in love with this ombré hand block printed Maheshwari silk as soon as I laid my eyes on it in Kalpa Druma when I was in Chennai this past December. The icy blue, mint and cinnamon shades working so well together and the soft silk perfect for these early summer days. This beauty is one of @sinha.mala ’s gorgeous creations.

A black , silver & grey drape in #linen I couldn’t resist from @sinha.mala ‘s @bodhiindia1 collection at the Woman Pop Up @womanupsummit And had to wear it the day of my presentation too ... I must confess it stayed nice and crisp almost all day but looked great even when it crumpled a little by end of the day .
