Description
This is a hand woven tussar silk saree that has been beautifully embroidered using the running stitch in the palla and the border. The embroidery enhances the printed design and adds a beautiful dimension to the drape of the saree. The saree is dyed black and printed using the colour discharge style. This requires multiple processes of printing steaming and washing. The field of the saree represents a lotus pond and the palla and border represent ripples in the lake. The blouse is dyed black and has a embroidered and printed border. The end result is a beautiful dyed and printed saree. One of its kind. Every Bodhi saree has Mala’s signature and a pure silver Bodhi seal. The colour and fabric for the fall has been carefully chosen by us and is hand-stitched onto the saree. The edge of the Palla has been delicately hand folded and stitched in the traditional applique style.
